Boris Continuum Units Now Available

The new Boris Continuum Units family of visual effects plug-ins lets customers choose toolsets from the award-winning Boris Continuum Complete plug-in suite that are geared towards their specific needs. Three units are available immediately: Pan and Zoom ($199 USD) for easy, documentary-style animation, UpRez ($99 USD) for instant, high-quality resizing of image clips from SD to HD, and Chroma Key ($299 USD) for fast, precise keys. Each Unit seamlessly integrates with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Motion. Customers who purchase a Continuum Unit may later credit the price of the Unit towards the purchase of Boris Continuum Complete.

Boris Continuum Pan and Zoom

Pan and Zoom makes easy work of documentary-style Pan and Zoom techniques made popular by Ken Burns. The filter includes a convenient setup mode offering on-screen controls for the size and position of the zoom region along with the anchor point and a preview area that shows a rendering of the final result. Both manual keyframing and automated workflows are supported. The Pan and Zoom Unit offers advanced image sampling with edge detection for smooth animation and highest-quality image detail.

Boris Continuum UpRez

UpRez is specially designed for conversion of SD footage to HD formats. The filter employs sophisticated image sampling techniques with edge detection, providing a final result that cannot be achieved by scaling and standard post-processing methods. This Unit also includes an Optical-flow based Deinterlace filter for converting interlaced SD material to progressive scan format.

Boris Continuum Chroma Key

The Chroma Key Unit automates creation of precise keys with minimal adjustment. In addition to the award-winning BCC Chroma Key filter, complete with Spill Suppression, this Unit includes a Light Wrap tool for the most natural-looking composites, Color Match and Grain Match tools for seamless foreground composites, and a Matte Choker tool for cleaning up the most challenging keys.

Boris Continuum Units are available exclusively via download.
